The Osher School of Music at the University of Southern Maine invites applications for PartTime Artist Faculty in Music for our 2025/2026 academic year.
We are searching for part time faculty and music instructorsproficientinApplied Harp Instruction.
Parttime faculty members are paid on a credithour basis based on prior teaching experience. Applied music lessons are compensation based on student enrollment: $60 per week lesson over 12 weeks for undergrad $720 per student. Graduate applied music lessons are $70 per week over 12 weeks $840 per student. In addition USM employees can use their USM Card to access the library Cigna Employee Assistance Plan and fitness center(s).USM also offers parttime faculty the opportunity for development frequently through our Center for Collaboration and Development (CCD) and the chance to get an online teaching certification and training through CTEL in addition to other developmental opportunities open to all staff throughout the year.
In addition eligible parttime faculty members may elect certain benefitsprovided by the University of Maine System. In addition The Center for Academic Innovationprovides learning design consulting and faculty development opportunities to help faculty to create engaging programs courses and lesson plans grounded in evidencebased best practices for every modality.
