Humareso is working with a leading food manufacturer of highquality frozen products sauces and specialty foods serving retail club and food service markets. We seek a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to join the team.
Overview
The Plant Manager will oversee all aspects of daily plant operations including production staffing quality control safety maintenance and logistics. This key leadership role requires a proactive manager who can balance strategic thinking with handson execution. The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing strong leadership skills and a passion for continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daytoday operations of the plant to ensure efficient safe and highquality production.
- Lead and manage plant staff including production supervisors line workers maintenance and quality teams.
- Ensure compliance with all food safety standards (e.g. FDA USDA HACCP) and internal quality control procedures.
- Monitor production metrics and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage production schedules and inventory control in conjunction with other locations
- Collaborate with sales and supply chain teams to meet customer demands
- Champion a safetyfirst culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.
- Maintain and oversee preventive maintenance programs for equipment and facility.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Food Science Operations Management or related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in food manufacturing.
- 3 years of plant leadership or operations management experience.
- Strong knowledge of GMP HACCP and food safety regulations.
- Experience with lean manufacturing Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
