Job Description
About the role:
We seek an applicant who is selfmotivated has good communication skills and is able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team. Undertake maintenance and repair work for the restaurant building and grounds to ensure it is a safe environment for the organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure building systems and machines run smoothly e.g. air conditioning pumps etc.
- Undertake repair/maintenance work as required to school buildings e.g. replacing locks windows & light bulbs patching holes woodwork repairs
- Perform routine maintenance of equipment
- Estimate repair costs and document repairs undertaken
- Handle store and distribute goods and materials
- Move equipment and furniture as required
- Upkeep organisation grounds e.g. mowing pruning weeding planting disposing of litter
- Assist with company improvements e.g. fencing paving and gardening projects
- Complete daily grounds maintenance reports
- Train new employees in groundskeeping duties.
Qualifications :
What we are looking for:
- Experience in general maintenance of grounds/buildings
- Knowledge of electrical plumbing and general trade maintenance
- Understanding of machinery/equipment operation relating to building maintenance
- Ability to work unsupervised as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Trade background is desirable
- Current drivers licence and use of own vehicle
- Current NSW Working with Children Check for paid employment
- You may be required to provide an International Police Check clearance.
