Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

Performs specific and moderate portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and welldefined procedures.
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments.
  • Identifies discrepancies in results.
  • Provides guidance to entry level engineers.
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works.
  • Performance at this level requires developmental experience in a professional position.
  • Develops and reviews HVAC system designs including load calculations equipment selection and ductwork layouts.
  • Collaborates with architects structural engineers and other disciplines to ensure integrated building systems.
  • Conducts energy modeling and analysis to optimize HVAC system performance and efficiency.
  • Prepares technical specifications reports and construction documents for HVAC projects.
  • Participates in client meetings and site visits to assess project requirements and troubleshoot issues.

     


Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements

Energy Modeling Building Performance analysis & IES Software skills listed in detail below.

 

  1. Utilize energy modeling software like IES VE to simulate building performance and energy consumption
  2. Analyze data received from client and energy results to provide the best energyefficient solutions to team
  3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for various inputs and outputs to do the efficient design process
  4. Ability to work on Cooling/Heating loads Energy consumption and building performance in IES VE or any other modeling software
  5. Familiarity with ASHRAE 90.1 62.1 55 and CIBSE requirements
  6. Knowledge of Mechanical system architecture and components
  7. Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; Masters degree preferred
  8. Professional Engineering (PE) license in HVAC or Mechanical Engineering
  9. Minimum of 8 years of experience in HVAC system design for commercial and industrial buildings
  10. Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP and other relevant design software
  11. Strong understanding of building codes and regulations related to HVAC systems
  12. Experience with sustainable design practices and LEED certification process
  13. Excellent project management and communication skills
  14. Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead design teams
  15. Demonstrated problemsolving skills and attention to detail
