PURPOSE (why this job exists):

• Provide additional supervision control and monitor processes and workflows at the distribution site.
• Assist with inventory and supplies.
• Supervise and train staff engaged in all warehouse activities to include receiving stocking processing inventory control returns shipping safety and loss prevention.
• Communicate regularly with your manager.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Ensure Departmental compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Coordinates workflow for the team so they are accurately scheduled for production and fulfillment.
• May Lead various positions in the Receiving Picking Reboxing and Shipping areas.
• Train and coach new employees including temporary employees on department work instructions and processes. procedures and policies.
• Provide training/crosstraining in equipment and process operations as needed.
• May act as the go to person when assistance with procedures equipment or information is required.
• Review processes for improvement assist with implementation and maintain as directed by the manager.
• Perform and direct all tasks following approved work instructions and established departmental and /or customer procedures involved with packing and shipping product under minimal supervision.
• Transport materials parts supplies and equipment as well as packing and shipping product throughout the facility.
• Ensure shipping supplies boxes bubble wrap tape etc. are in stock inform the manager to reorder levels.
• Verify physical counts to shipping documentation to assure accuracy prior to shipping.
• Coordinate clarify and prioritize functions of the department.
• Professionally interacts with team Managers and Office support team.
• Oversee compliance with practices and maintain an orderly and safe warehouse.

• Develop and maintain a good working relationship and open lines of communication with all departments to ensure Department Company and Customer goals are achieved.

• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS and ABILITIES

• Good understanding of inventory management
• Strong problemsolving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Willingness to learn & adapt.
• Strong math reading and writing skills.
• Computer proficient and able to use company ERP systems.
• Forklift certification
• Physical ability to stand for long periods.
• Physical ability to lift 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with a twoperson lift.

TRAINING and EXPERIENCE

• 25 years of warehouse experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (any specific physical attributes or limiting factors to be accounted for):

While performing the duties of this job the employee will spend a large majority of time walking standing and using hands to push/pull. The employee is occasionally required to stoop kneel or crouch. The employee is required to lift and /or move up to 20 to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally with a twoperson lift. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision distance vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this Job the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee may be exposed to hot or cold temperatures outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The employee may be exposed to high precarious places fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
