Job Description
Job Title: Senior Engineer Unified Communications
Career Level D3
Introduction to role
Join a worldleading pharmaceutical company headquartered in the United Kingdom operating in over 100 countries. As a Senior Engineer in Unified Communications you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining a large infrastructure that spans several continents. This position focuses on Unified Communication particularly Microsoft Teams migration and implementation server voice and data systems implementation and associated project management methodologies.
Accountabilities
* 2nd line incident resolution of applications and data issues related to MS Teams and related services
* Proactive management of the global infrastructure to maximize performance and reliability
* Ensure system integrity security and recoverability
* Provide technical advice and education to junior engineers
* Drive opportunities for process and service improvement
* Deliver solutions to recurring issues to drive process improvement
* Good knowledge in ITIL process
Essential Skills/Experience
* Bachelors degree or equivalent with 5 to 9 years of operational experience
* Experience in managing incidents problems changes and capacity management aspects
* Demonstrated ability to handle a large number of incidents via any ITSM tool
* Flexibility to work in shifts on a rotational basis covering Americas EMEA and ASIAPAC regions 24/7
* Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization
* A selfstarter with high levels of drive energy resilience and a desire for professional excellence
Desirable Skills/Experience
* Diploma/Bachelors degree
* Multi years of work experience in technical teams working in shifts
