Permanent Full Time TA3

36 hours per week 39 weeks per year

We are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant for this popular inclusive thriving school which is well regarded by the local community and located on the Woodchurch Estate. It is an exciting opportunity to join our newlyappointed Headteacher in delivering continued school improvement.

Inclusive and adaptive practice is at the heart of our school; everyone is welcome at Fender. We support the individual learning needs of all our children and are extremely passionate about ensuring our pedagogy and practice is equitable and engaging for all. We are incredibly proud of the children in our school (including around 40% with SEND) and the local community that we serve.

The role is to provide highquality support to learners with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) within a specialist resource provision. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Resource Provision Lead and SENCO to deliver targeted interventions promote independence and ensure the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life.

Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with the class teacher and Resource Provision Lead to support pupils with ASC adapting learning activities and materials to meet individual needs.
Implement EHCP targets through tailored support plans and differentiated strategies.
Support the development of communication social interaction emotional regulation and sensory integration skills.
Promote independence emotional wellbeing and confidence in learners through structured and consistent approaches.
Provide onetoone and small group interventions including support in mainstream classes where appropriate.
Monitor and record progress contributing to review meetings and professional reports.
Build positive relationships with parents/carers and external professionals.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of a safe stimulating and supportive environment including sensory spaces and visual supports.
Follow safeguarding health and safety and behaviour policies rigorously.
