Job Description
Strategic Business Systems (SBS) is hiring a Computer Engineer Technician to support a secure customers requirements in a challenging dynamic setting. The candidate will be in support of a customer in the Colorado Springs CO area. Limited travel may be position requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
The Computer Engineer will be responsible to perform rudimentary computer break fix support perform install/deinstallation of equipment and will work in a highly collaborative environment with teammates key stakeholders and the Government customer to ensure mission continuity and support to the IC
community.
The candidate will provide technical and managerial customer onsite functions focused on managing the onsite delivering of software services presales postsales or service delivery support installation and configuration for customer environments. The job focuses on solving various business systems networking and applications problems for standard industry servers specialized or complex IT environments. Deliver reactive and proactive activities according to Service Level Agreement to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Position includes onsite technical support for reactive and proactive customers. Position maintains a high level of customer satisfaction by ensuring clear business and technical solution alignment clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met.
The preferred candidate will perform tasks such as:
Daily system checks for alerts or degradation of service or system.
Data center walkthroughs to identify and resolve audible or visual alarms.
Troubleshoot diagnose and isolate failures.
Reseat card and perform hardware reboots.
Replace broken hardware components and update the Configuration
Management Database (CMDB ).
Restore hardware system to approved baseline configuration.
Reimage or reload Firmware and or imbedded software to restore
hardware to approved baseline.
Run diagnostic to repair storage disc or corrupted database files.
Troubleshoot and replace broken cabling.
Support Implementation of Government customer approved documented
requests from the Computer Management Support Plan (CMSP) .
Move or add desktop computer or thin client.
Move add or change telephone equipment.
Support the customer in providing Trusted Agent (TA) support to requests
from CSOC in support of their outofband architecture as identified in the
equipment list.
Support the validation changes are implemented correctly without
operational impact and within SLAs.
Provide confirmation of technical support to the customer.
Support performance of site survey to ensure the location of the ticket to
be fulfilled has the necessary accommodations and dependencies in place
for the technician to perform their task.
Preferred Qualifications.
Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
68 years of technical IT experience with different Original Equipment
Manufacturer (OEM) vendor gear.
Technical degree or industry certifications is a plus
Prior technical experience in support of the U.S. military or DoD contractor
is a plus
Previous experience with local mission domains and customer base is
highly desired
Familiarity with national systems missions and concepts
Continuous service improvement or process improvement experience
