Please review the following job description:

Experienced level position that supports the Truist Unclaimed Property and Escheat Reporting program through compliance with state unclaimed property laws and regulations including management of data preparation of and remittance of state reporting and customer service support.

this will be onsite role only at posted location. Requires 35 years experience in banking operations or back office function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed both major and minor which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

1. Strong Knowledge of unclaimed property state laws and regulatory guidelines.
2. Provides support for daily operations on complex issues and communicates with internal and external clients to properly document more complex account status.
3. Perform complex due diligence research on accounts and work production reports to track escheatable accounts.
4. Analysis reporting and timely filing of unclaimed property in accordance with escheatment laws and Truist corporate policies.
5. Performs research and provides support to business units and clients with reclamation requests.
6. Supports manager on initiatives identifies trends and recurring issues makes recommendations monitors changes to state law and ensures compliance to those changes.
7. Participates in process improvement projects and all operational aspects of the Escheat Operations Team.
8. Participates in training plan for new escheat teammates and cross trains junior analysts.


QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or 2 years college
2. 35 years of banking operations or back office experience
3. Knowledge of Unclaimed Property laws and guidelines
4. Proficient with Microsoft Office
5. Ability to perform analytical research
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills
7. Work under minimal supervision and must be able to make independent decisions

Preferred Qualifications:
1. College degree or 5 years of banking operations or back office experience
2. Working knowledge of banking systems
3. Extensive knowledge of unclaimed property laws and guidelines
4. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel PowerPoint and Word
