Analyst, Expert Services

The Kroll business Disputes practice provides industry and technical insights to win disputes related to contractual fiduciary or related obligations and prepares expert analysis to help clients understand prevent and manage fraud. We are often brought in on complex court cases to value damages or help establish liability in the context of intellectual property lost profits class action/securities fraud breach of contract or economic antitrust disputes. A member of our team will often submit an expert report and provide expert testimony in trial and you will provide vital support for these efforts.

Navigating Responsibilities:

Duties may include the following:

• Daytoday project management of assignments.
• Providing accounting financial economic or quantitative advice to lawyers to help progress cases.
• Conduct industry research in order to gain an understanding of the drivers that affect value and creditworthiness of the involved parties.
• Develop and/or evaluate damages claims and calculations.
• Organize and analyze large data sets to provide meaningful conclusions.
• Draft of internal and external communications including client proposals and expert reports.
• Assisting clients with investigations into matters such as fraud accounting misstatement and competition economic regulatory or other financial issues.
• Build internal and client relationships identifying and sourcing new work and new product development.
• Assist in Preparation of Court ready written reports.
• Work closely with Managing Directors and Directors in a rapidly growing practice area.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Current Degree Pursuit: Double degree in law and finance or bachelors degree in finance accounting or a related field.
• Experience: At least 2 years experience in an audit department or 1 year in Disputes/Expert Services/Forensic Department.
• Experience in Damages calculation assistance in the preparation of expert reports forensic accountingfinancial advisory services or other relevant work within a consultancy or similarenvironment will be strongly valued.
• Strong accounting background and financial analysis. Experience in the preparation of financial projections. Strong Excel skills and numeracy skills with the ability to process analyze and review large volumes of data.
• The ability to explain complex technical issues in an understandable manner. A logical and methodical approach to problem solving as well as being able to develop innovative solutions to complex problems
• Communication Skills: Ability to work well independently and to tight deadlines. Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
• Language Skills: Native in Spanish and Fluent English. Other languages would be an advantage.
• Flexibility to travel as needed.
