Youll be working in Platform 270 our informal restaurant is inspired by Melbournes iconic laneways. With bold modern Australian flavours leather booths and an open kitchen its a vibrant space loved by all.
About the role
In your new role as Food and Beverage Supervisor you will oversee F&B operations and be responsible for engaging with our guests and supervising and supporting your team with daily activities. Reporting to the Restaurant and Bar Manager you will enjoy working as part of a small team on a rotating roster. This role will oversee the Restaurant In Room Dining as well as Events hosted throughout the hotel. Your duties will include:
- Supporting daily Food and Beverage Operations by being hands on within the department
- Lead the team with energy and flair making sure every guest experience goes above and beyond
- Inspire and develop the team to be friendly professional and fully tuned into the key operational knowhow that keeps everything running smoothly
- Be able to lead both alacarte (Lunch and Dinner) and buffet style service (Breakfast and Events)
- Assist in the planning and execution of hotel events including setup packdown and catering support ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Understand menu content whats new whats changing and whats popular and keep the team informed about every delicious detail and promotion
- Complete purchase orders for products for bar and restaurant
What are we looking for
- Experience in a Food and Beverage Supervisory role or strong experience in an F&B service role preferable within a hotel environment
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Demonstrated ability to resolve problems and conflict and work efficiently under pressure
- Wellpresented organised and calm personality
