Title: Peer Support Specialist Male ACT Team
Worksite: Center St Location
County: Warren
Hours Status: Part Time
Pay Range: $13.25 hourly
The Peer Support Specialist must be a male individual who lives with a psychiatric diagnosis and/or addiction and has demonstrated at least two years of commitment to his own personal recovery. This position provides a variety of recoveryoriented services to individuals who have selfidentified as desiring peer supports in order to promote greater independence community integration and recovery from mental illness and/or substance abuse.
Services provided by peer specialists include a wide range of supports services and advocacy that contribute to a clients ability to engage in ongoing treatment. Assist in the development of peerled programming.
Must be a selfidentified person on the application or cover letter how they have lived personal experience leading to an understanding of the needs of persons with mental health & substance abuse issues. Must be in recovery from a psychiatric diagnosis and/or substance use disorder who meets the abstinence requirements for recovery staff in alcohol and other drug treatment programs.
