Job Description

Lake Superior College is hiring one Fulltime Nursing Associate Degree college faculty for three academic years that reports directly to the Dean of Allied Health & Nursing. The instructor is responsible to apply their expertise to develop and deliver courses/programs so that students learn and reach their academic goals. The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities in student recruitment for their courses/program and in support of the general development of students and the college.

Salary Range:

$49244 $71893 per year

** The above salary range is for initial placement only. If currently teaching within Minnesota State current salary will remain the same.**

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate degree with a major in nursing or
  • Bachelors degree in nursing and a graduate degree in support of the field of nursing and/or education.
  • A nursing program director must hold a graduate degree in nursing nursing administration nursing education public health nursing or a nursing clinical specialty.

Preferred Qualification

  • Current clinical experience in an acute care hospital

Other Requirements

Occupational Experience Requirement:

  • Two fulltime years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered nurse at the professional level.
  • As a registered nurse at the professional level experientially qualified to accomplish the mission goals and expected student and faculty outcomes; including experiential preparation in the areas the faculty will teach.

Recency Requirement:

  • One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful fulltime (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.

Professional Requirement:

  • Current unencumbered licensure as a registered nurse (RN) with current registration in Minnesota.
  • Other Requirement: Compliance with clinical affiliate policies for attending onsite clinical teaching assignments.
