Job Description
Environmental Services Assistant FullTime
(MondayFriday 8a4:30p)
Are you passionate about cleanliness safety and making a difference in peoples daily environment Join our team as an Environmental Services Assistant and help us create a clean safe and welcoming space for everyone who enters our facility!
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Clean/polish furnishings fixtures ledges kick plates push plates switch plates and heating/cooling units.
Clean wash sanitize and/or polish bathroom fixtures assuring that water marks are removed from fixtures.
Detail windows/mirrors in recreational areas bathrooms/showers and entrance/exit ways.
Properly display wet floor signs prior to mopping floors.
Clean floors/corners/baseboards by sweeping dusting damp/wet mopping disinfecting etc
Clean carpets by vacuuming deodorizing and disinfecting.
Clean walls and ceilings by washing wiping dusting spot cleaning disinfecting deodorizing.
Remove dirt dust grease film etc. from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
Clean hallways stairways and elevators/elevator tracks.
Discard trash and recyclable materials into proper containers and reline trash receptacles with plastic liners.
Clean occupied and vacant rooms as assigned.
Ensure that custodial closet/equipment storage/break room areas are clean and that equipment tools supplies etc. are properly stored at all times as well as before leaving such areas for break meal times and end of the day.
Ensure all chemical bottles are labeled and custodial carts are clean and organized.
Operate a vacuum cleaner and a hip vacuum cleaner.
Perform other related duties as directed by Supervisor.
What Were Looking For:
Previous experience in environmental services housekeeping or janitorial work is a plus
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Comfortable performing physical tasks (lifting bending walking)
Reliable punctual and professional
Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and holidays
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
