Job Description
UCSF Fitness and Recreation inspires wellbeing and health on the UCSF campus through fitness community and play. The Recreational Sports unit is an integral part of Fitness and Recreation and provides excellent customer service while ensuring participants participate in Recreation programs and leagues in a safe and fun environment. The Recreational Sports Staff works under direct supervision of the Recreational Sports Manager and is responsible for carrying out the daytoday operations of the Recreational Sports unit which includes customer service creating and following lesson plans and providing quality instruction to all program participants.
Recreational Sports is looking for high energy dynamic positive outgoing staff to be a part of our unit and UCSF Fitness and Recreation. The position is parttime at 40% variable with an average working week consisting of 816 hours. Access to our wide variety of classes equipment and facilities is included with employment!
Pay is competitive and increases are based upon years of service.

Please note: The compensation ranges listed online for roles not covered by a bargaining unit agreement are very wide however a job offer will typically fall in the range of 80% 120% of the established midpoint. An offer will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate AND the current salary level of individuals working at UCSF in a similar role.
For roles covered by a bargaining unit agreement there will be specific rules about where a new hire would be placed on the range.

UCSF Fitness and Recreation operates two fitness centers at UCSF. We provide fitness and wellbeing services to UCSF students faculty staff and community members through a broad range of fitness recreation aquatics personal training outdoor programs and health and wellness programs.
