Monday Friday: 8 AM 4:30 PM
*A flexible work schedule may be approved with up to two days remote work per week (if applicable)
Salary Range: Hourly from $37.60 to $54.16; Annually from $78509 to $113086
*Salary placement is dependent on education and experience

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Director of Disability Services administers develops implements and manages academic support for students attending Normandale Community and the general Normandale community at large through the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) Title IX Pregnant and Parenting Civil Rights law and MakeUp Testing services. In support of this the Director provides supervision and leadership for the listed programs and offices. Additionally they are responsible for understanding regulating and implementing state and federal laws including but not limited to the Americans with Disabilities Act 504 Rehabilitation Act and Title IX regulations as they pertain to students faculty and staff.
This position will actively advance the colleges strategic goals including to achieve equity in educational outcomes and to support a culturally responsive and serviceoriented culture through individual and departmental efforts. The Normandale Community College library supports every student in the pursuit of their education by providing dynamic services relevant collections and flexible learning spaces that foster an inclusive environment intellectual discovery and achievement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
These qualifications are required to move forward; as such (ensure your application contains descriptions of your education and work experience sufficient to demonstrate competency in each of the following):
Four (4) years experience in providing service to students with disabilities at the postsecondary level. Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Expert knowledge and ability to apply federal state and local laws and ordinances related to disabilities.
Experience reviewing documentation of disabilities.
Demonstrated skill in advocating for students with disabilities in an education setting.
Demonstrated experience in managing difficult situations involving students parents staff faculty and community members.
Skills in supervision training budget management and program development.
Knowledge of web accessibility and content.
PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:
Masters degree in relevant area.
Five or more years experience in postsecondary disability services.
Experience supervising college support services.
Experience with student transition from high school to college.
Demonstrated experience in program assessment and budget management.
Experience developing and implementing strategic plans.
Knowledge of web accessibility and content.
Excellent written oral and interpersonal skills and ability to act independently.
Demonstrated experience working with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Experience collaborating with faculty staff and administrators.
