Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.
The Peace Wapiti Public School Division is seeking candidates who enjoy working in a studentfocused and collaborative invite applications for a Temporary Full Time Mental Health Professional . (This position is effective August 25 2025 to June 24 2026).

Qualifications:
With a focus on counseling/mental health and wellness we are seeking an experienced social worker or equivalent to join our District level interdisciplinary team. While assigned to specific schools the position will involve the delivery of mental health therapeutic interventions to students who meet the criteria of the scope of school based practice collaborating with the Peace Wapiti Wellness team and community partners that support the mental health of students.

Salary and Hours of Work:
Salary is commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $58489.40 to $75197.40 annually or $41.78 to $53.71 per hour. This position is 35 hours per week roughly following the school year calendar for a total of 1400 hours per school year. The annual salary is paid over 10 months (September to June) and will be prorated for parttime/partyear assignments.
