Job Description

A leading Canadian infrastructure contractor is expanding its geotechnical design team for a new downtown tunnel and deepexcavation program. The successful candidate will guide investigation design and construction support for shaft excavations slurry / secant walls and TBM drives beneath sensitive urban corridors.

Key responsibilities

  • Plan & interpret geotechnical investigations (CPT boreholes packer tests).

  • Produce deepfoundation and supportofexcavation designs using PLAXIS / FLAC.

  • Monitor instrumentation and settlement; implement triggerlevel responses.

  • Liaise daily with construction teams to resolve fielddesign issues.

  • Prepare geotechnical baseline & interpretive reports for designbuild contracts.

  • Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with external reviewers.



Requirements


  • . in Qu bec (or eligibility within 6 months).

  • 6 12 years on deep excavations tunnels or heavycivil foundations.

  • Proficiency with PLAXIS / FLAC (or similar) and Canadian codes.

  • Bilingual (French / English) communication an asset.
