Job Description
We have recently been appointed as Joint Health Delivery Partner (HDP) for the New Hospitals Programme for the NHS.
As we mobilise for this transformative national major infrastructure programme we are recruiting for Project Planning Lead to work as part of the HDPs programmes and controls function.
You will work in a dynamic and clientfocused team made up of highly competent industry specialists to discuss their projects and delivery thereof and advise them on realistic timeframes.
Objective of the role
To support Project Management commissions in developing plans and programmes to deliver our service and projects and monitor and report against these in accordance with defined scopes of duties and T&T systems mission and values;
To support Project Management commissions to achieve safe and efficient outcomes that meet agreed profit and client satisfaction objectives;
To develop and maintain relationships with clients peers and others who are influential in providing future business.
Responsibilities
As a Planning Lead you will:
- Produce logic linked detailed integrated programmes (design procurement and construction) fully backed up by a build strategy construction methodology logistics scheme and phasing plans.
- Provide support to the project team for all planning functions ensuring that issues within the programme are highlighted and understood.
- Give appropriate planning advice and direction to project team members & all relevant Stakeholders and produce programme assurance reports on our Client commissions.
- Apply critical path analysis and assess the impact of change on critical and noncritical activities. Deliver effectively the information regarding changes and delays that have impacted the programme.
- Provide specific programme outputs to analyse Compensation Events Early Warning Notices impacts.
- Produce progress reports showing variance against the baselines.
- Deliver Period Programme Updates and input to project reports.
- Coordinate between Clients and their Partners consultants and contractors programmes of works and compliance with the Project Programme. Reporting areas of noncompliance for resolution.
- As appropriate and required provide planning support to the bidding team to do all the activities necessary to submit the bidding documentations in time.
Qualifications :
To be successful in this role you will have:
- A proven track record of delivering projects as a Senior Planner/Project Planner 10 years experience with a UK based main contractor / project management consultancy.
- Experience working on major projects such as rail highways etc.
- Proficient use of Asta Powerproject (Primavera and Microsoft Project an added bonus).
- Experience handling NEC contracts.
