SW Engineer - SDET

The Client Information Development is part of the Member Information Systems organization. We are responsible for development maintenance and support business critical applications that support VISAs daily operations. Client Information applications (also known as Profile Systems Engineering) are responsible in the storage upkeep and dissemination of client information for authorization clearing settlement and data mining. The team is currently working on a multiyear effort to modernize our business systems. Our objective is to adopt more open software technologies and get away from proprietary systems (Mainframe etc.). The successful candidate will be a part of Strategic Initiatives team to build the nextgeneration global payment network.

We deliver objectives from a shared value agenda effectively becoming the enablers and trusted strategic advisors for our clients.

Responsibilities

• Design implement and evolve highly scalable and faulttolerant distributed components using best design and coding principles .

• Participate in business requirements review and build functional & technical design documentation

• Design and implement testing procedures for: APIs abstractions and integration patterns to solve challenging distributed computing problems covering end to end tests and integration scenarios.

• Work across the team to ensure the team is predictable productive and delivering high quality.

• Review code and accountability for teams development/testing activities

• Participate in proof of concepts and other technical evaluations of new technologies

• Develop test automation for suitable products for improving efficiency and productivity with the team.

• Testing a product from all aspects to ensure he quality of the code.

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications :

• 12 years of work experience with Bachelors Degree(B.E/ OR M.E/)
• Robust programming skills with strong technical competency in languages such as Java and JavaScript
• Handson experience on UI Test automation tools like Cypress/ Selenium/Playwright or similar.
• Understanding of different testing methodologies and execution of Unit Testing Functional Testing Regression Testing and Integration Testing of a software 
• Strong technical knowledge with web applications and web services standards and related technologies (XML JSON REST SOAP)
• Good Experience in SQL
• Good understanding and knowledge of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies
• Strong understanding of Agile scrum and Quality Assurance processes and methodologies
• Experience with Test management tools like Jira ALM SharePoint Confluence wiki.
• Understanding of various test and development methodologies such as TDD BDD
• Understanding of GenAI is a plus
