We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse hardworking people to join Alcon. We are seeking an expert and dynamic individual to lead our Process Development team at the Belmont California site. This role requires a strong technical foundation and outstanding leadership skills to drive the development of nextgeneration intraocular lens (IOL) technologies and manufacturing solutions.
In this role a typical day will include:
- Providing leadership and direction to a multidisciplinary engineering team ensuring alignment with organizational goals and project breakthroughs.
- Overseeing the design and development of components fixtures and metrology systems to advance innovative intraocular lens technologies.
- Leading the development and implementation of automated manufacturing processes to optimize production efficiency and quality.
- Collaborating with multifunctional teams including mechanical optics manufacturing and materials scientists to ensure project success and technical excellence.
- Leading root cause analysis and fixing efforts to address emerging manufacturing or design defects.
- Developing and overseeing the execution of test protocols technical reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturers ensuring scalability and quality of manufacturing processes.
- Driving a culture of continuous improvement by leveraging Lean Six Sigma principles and Design for Manufacturability (DFM) best practices.
WHAT YOULL BRING TO ALCON:
- Bachelors Degree High School Diploma or equivalent (HS 13 Assoc.9; Bach 5 MS 2 PhD 0)
- 5 years of relevant experience
- The ability to fluently read write understand and communicate in English
