Minimum Hiring Annual Salary:

$74836.00

Maximum Hiring Annual Salary:

$78578.00

To attain the maximum annual salary employee must meet all minimum qualifications plus:

  • 5 (five) years of additional applicable work experience and/or degrees higher than minimum qualification degree. Degrees higher than the minimum qualification degree can be used in combination with additional work experience.
  • Acombination of related education onthejob work experience certifications and/or licenses that results in a candidate successfully meeting the minimum qualifications of the position may be considered.

The stated salary amounts are not guaranteed in the event employment ends with Aims during any fiscal year.

Job Description:

Reporting to the Executive Director Student Accessibility & Well Being (EDSAWB) the Director II CARE Case Management provides oversight and direction for the CARE department and its team. The Director II provides leadership direct supervision and guidance to the CARE case managers and supports the ED SAWB with strategic planning program development training and assessment as well as ensuring and maintaining case management compliance and operational excellence. This role also provides nonclinical goaloriented and strengthsbased assessment intervention and coordination of services to students facing challenges in areas such as health housing finances academics behavior and general welfare. This role involves immediate problemsolving for both traditional and complex situations resource identification referrals and basicneeds support to enhance student success and holistic wellbeing. Through a coordinated and integrated approach this position works closely with other offices (particularly Counseling) and thirdparty agencies to connect students with resources to aid in their success all in an equitable way for all students in all locations and modalities. This position additionally oversees staff leading the Collegiate Recovery Program and must be wellversed in the needs of the program and an advocate for the efforts in the College community.

The Director II will also work closely with the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT Team) to address varying levels of distress and risk while connecting students with appropriate resources. In addition to direct case management responsibilities the Director II provides leadership direct supervision and guidance to the CARE case managers. Occasional travel is required for this position.

NonClinical Case Management:

  • Schedules and conducts intake appointments to assess students needs holistically and create an action plan for support.

  • Delivers individualized CARE and case management services including resource management service planning and monitoring/evaluation.

  • Teaches students problemsolving techniques and guide them in identifying alternative options related to their goals.

  • Maintains accurate case notes in the electronic recordkeeping system reflecting essential information and discussions.

  • Refers students to relevant oncampus and community resources based on their needs.

  • Establishes and maintains partnerships with community agencies to address students basic needs.

  • Serves as the initial point of contact for students seeking services in the CARE and counseling office.

Leadership & Supervision:

  • Supervise support staff overseeing and directing daily operations providing guidance and performance management and ensuring efficient team productivity.

  • Offers leadership guidance and support in case management practices and professional development.

  • Assists in the training and onboarding of new case managers ensuring adherence and compliance to best practices and institutional policies.

CARE Departmental Leadership:

  • This position is responsible for overseeing and directing all CARE related services programs and staff. This role is the leader within the CARE department and serves as the direct contact for escalated complex situations.

  • Participates and directs assessment efforts related to case management effectiveness.

  • Supports the ED SAWB in strategic planning program evaluation and assessment and reporting.

  • Collaborates with the ED SAWB to develop and implement strategies for program improvement and effectiveness.

  • Maintains knowledge of community and campus resources by ongoing engagement with Aims faculty and staff public health private services and community stakeholders.

  • Evaluates and enhances the quality of case management services through consistent assessment detailed documentation comprehensive reporting and the proactive revision of policies and procedures.

  • Directs oversees and supports case management staff in achieving and maintaining relevant professional development certifications and engaging in continuous training.

  • Designs develops and implements educational programs to advance case management practices and knowledge both at the department level and collegewide level.

  • Leads weekly case management meetings ensuring continuity and effective team collaboration.

  • This role supports the Behavioral Intervention Team (BIT) by deciding who gets referred to the BIT Team for additional interventions.

  • Contributes to BIT Team discussions and assessments using case notes and referral information.

  • Implements and directs BIT Teamrecommended interventions and support plans for students.

  • Conducts an initial generalized risk assessment of BIT referrals using the NABITA Risk Rubric and shares those results with the Dean of Student Engagement and Inclusion.

  • Provide budget development recommendations to Executive Director.

  • Adhere to internal compliance standards and ensure support staff is also in compliance with case management practices.

Prevention & WellBeing Programming:

  • Directs the development and implementation of educational materials support groups and wellness programming tailored to common basic needs.

  • Creates and directs marketing and awareness campaigns promoting case management services.

  • Conducts training sessions for faculty and staff on effectively supporting students with basic needs.

  • Collaborates with the ED SAWB to develop an ongoing CARE program training series for case managers.

  • Develops and directs the annual CARE program training series for faculty and staff.

  • Directs and provides programming opportunities for students related to mental health and wellness.

  • Directs and develops curriculum for workshops to students on mental health topics on all satellite campuses.

Other Duties as Assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in related field plus four (4) years of related experience which must include direct service to students or an equivalent combination of education and/work experience. Of the required four (4) years of experience one (1) year must be supervisory and/or demonstrated leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Demonstrated high interpersonal personal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively and equitably with diverse populations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work collegially and collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues.

  • Demonstrated ability to make decisions and take action on those decisions.

  • Ability to manage departments with highvolume workflows.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in case management or coordinating services within a higher education setting.

  • Familiarity with student information systems (e.g. Workday) and case management databases (e.g. Maxient).

  • Experience making professional presentations to groups of up to 50 people.

  • Experience working with a diverse student population including posttraditional students students of color Veterans firstgeneration college students and others from underserved or underrepresented backgrounds.

  • Working knowledge of mental health student development BIT best practices higher education law FERPA and electronic recordkeeping systems.

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
