Job Description
A Java developer on this program provides Agile development and operations and maintenance for mission critical systems. Based in DevOps framework this role participates in and/or directs major deliverables of projects through all aspects of the software development lifecycle including scope and work estimation architecture and design coding and unit testing.
Primary Responsibilities
Participate in software programming initiatives to support innovation and enhancement using Java JavaScript Python SpringBoot Hibernate
Developing and directing software system validation and testing methods using Junit and Katalon
Develop and integrate custom developed software solutions to leverage automated deployment technologies leveraging an Atlassian tool suite like JIRA and Confluence to track activities
Develop prototype and deploy solutions within Commercial Cloud Solutions leveraging Infrastructure platform services creating innovative solutions to meet the technical needs of customers.
Analyze (though proof of concept performance and endtoend testing) and effectively coordinate Infrastructure needs driven by developed software to meet customer mission needs
Support the Agile software development lifecycle following Program SAFe practices while coordinating closely with team members Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure User Story alignment and implementation to customer use cases
Document and Perform systems software development including deployment of build artifacts across different environments leveraging GitFlow constructs and using industry leading DevOps tools like GitHub Jenkins and Unix bash scripting
Basic Qualifications
Familiar with common Agile practices serviceorientated environments and development practices
Familiar with Java JavaScript and the software development lifecycle with experience delivering within DevOps toolsets/practices
Some experience utilizing software testing performance tools such as Junit or Katalon and scripting languages such as Python and Bash while working in an Agile development environment
Familiar with developing in Commercial Cloud Platforms (ex AWS Google Cloud Azure) and leveraging cloud data services (ex: S3 RDS EFS)
Familiar with using version control and issue/problem tracking systems
BS with 2 or more years relevant experience. Will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.
Clearance Required: Must have TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Python SpringBoot Hibernate Angular Hive Pig or C
Experience in AWS Data management services (Elastic Map Reduce Lambda Kinesis)
Experience with SAFe development practices
