Impact Prep Middle School Information Technology Mentor SY 202526

Job Details

Title:Impact Prep Middle School Information Technology Mentor

Description: We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible high school students with a passion for technology to serve as IT Mentors for middle school students. This role is ideal for high schoolers who enjoy working with younger peers sharing their tech knowledge and developing leadership and teaching skills. As a mentor you will support middle schoolers in developing basic IT skills coding concepts and confidence using technology. Their duties and responsibilities typically include

the following:

  • Serve as a positive role model and mentor to assigned middle school students.
  • Foster a safe inclusive and engaging learning environment.
  • Help students troubleshoot simple tech issues during club meetings or class sessions.
  • Training users on how to use new hardware or software.
  • Diagnosing and resolving laptop and desktop issues.
  • Documenting issues and resolutions correctly.
  • Troubleshooting network problems and individual user hardware or software problems.
  • Setting up or repairing computer hardware and other associated.
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Communication skills.
  • Listening skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Problemsolving skills.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Friendly patient and enthusiastic about mentoring younger students.
  • Willingness to learn and grow as a mentor and leader.
  • Successful Completion of 9th Grade Requirements.

Technology Mentor agree to the following conditions:

  1. Students agree to work 34 hours in total at $15/ hour
  2. Maintain great attendance and attend all classes
