A Human Resources Leader for McMinnville.
The awardwinning McMinnville School District is nestled in the heart of wine country in Yamhill County 40 miles southwest of Portland. The district serves 6300 students in grades kindergarten through 12 and offers free preschool in district schools. We are proud of the work we do and we love the community in which we live.
We are seeking an extraordinary leader to serve our District as our next Director of Human Resources. We are looking for a strategic and collaborative HR leader who is passionate about building strong teams improving systems and creating a positive inclusive workplace. As a key member of the Superintendents leadership team this person will help the district continue to attract support and retain excellent staff. We seek someone experienced forwardthinking and adaptablesomeone who can lead at a high level while also managing daytoday work.

The McMinnville School District includes six elementary schools two middle schools and one comprehensive high school. Student achievement across the district has steadily improved over the past dozen years boosted by robust competitive grant awards that fund many STEAM programs for students both during and beyond the school day and school year. In 2014 the district was named a National STEM Showcase district by the U.S. Department of Education one of just three districts across the country to be recognized.
The Oregonian has repeatedly singled out the district for its laserlike focus on researchbased instructional practices and professional learning success with English language learners and for its graduation rate which is among the highest in the state. Serving a population that is 60% economically disadvantaged 35% Latino and 14% English learners the district consistently outperforms SBAC state averages for historically underserved populations.
