We are seeking a detailoriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our dedicated team at our Forest Surgery Center. In this vital role you will be responsible for cleaning sterilizing assembling and distributing surgical instruments and equipment to support a safe and efficient surgical environment. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to highquality outpatient surgical care in a fastpaced teamoriented setting.
Decontaminate clean and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment according to established protocols
Operate sterilization equipment including autoclaves and lowtemperature sterilizers
Assemble and inspect instrument trays and surgical sets based on procedure and surgeon requirements
Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
Ensure inventory levels of sterile supplies are maintained and properly rotated
Collaborate with clinical and surgical staff to ensure timely delivery of sterile instruments
Adhere to all infection control safety and regulatory standards (OSHA CDC AAMI AORN)
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a sterile processing technician training program preferred
Certification (CBSPD or HSPA/IAHCSMM) preferred
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
Basic computer skills and ability to accurately complete documentation
Exposure to biohazardous materials and sterilization chemicals
Frequent standing lifting and repetitive motion
Schedule may include early mornings evenings or rotating shifts depending on case volume
