With headquarters in Troms Norway Kongsberg Satellite Services AS (KSAT) provides communication services for satellite communications. KSAT is the worlds largest supplier of telemetry tracking and command (TT&C) and data acquisition services for nongeostationary satellites.
Founded in 1968 KSAT has grown to over 450 employees. The wholly owned subsidiary KSAT Inc. (aka. KSAT USA) is located in Denver Colorado and is rapidly growing in response to strong US Government and industry demand for commercial space system services.
Summary of Position
KSAT is seeking a midcareer Subcontract Manager with experience in aerospace or defense subcontracting to support the development and delivery of satellite ground communications infrastructure and other spacerelated projects. As KSAT prepares to expand its presence in the U.S. this role is critical in managing supplier relationships overseeing contract performance and ensuring hardware and service procurements meet program objectives.
The Subcontract Manager will work closely with project managers engineers and operations teams to manage all phases of subcontractingfrom RFP development and supplier selection to negotiation contract execution and closeout. This position will serve as a key point of contact for vendors and partners ensuring that KSATs technical schedule and budgetary goals are met across multiple subcontracted efforts.
The role will be based in the Greater Denver region. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Details of the Role
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Manage subcontracts throughout the full lifecycle including issuing RFPs/RFQs evaluating proposals and negotiating agreements
- Monitor supplier performance cost schedule and risk; drive corrective actions as necessary
- Ensure subcontractor compliance with contract terms quality standards and applicable regulations (FAR/DFARS ITAR etc.)
- Coordinate with internal technical and program management teams to align supplier activities with project needs
- Support source selection activities and maintain documentation such as SOWs compliance matrices and payment schedules
- Contribute to strategic sourcing and longterm supplier relationship development
- Assist with project planning and forecasting from a subcontractor and procurement perspective
Requirements
- Current U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident
- Must be eligible for a U.S. DoD Security Clearance
Required Experience
- 5 years of experience in subcontract or supplier management within aerospace defense or spacerelated industries
- Experience with spacerated hardware or communications infrastructure preferred
- Working knowledge of federal acquisition regulations (FAR/DFARS) export control (ITAR) and quality standards (AS9100)
- Proven record of executing fixedprice and costtype subcontracts
- Experience supporting U.S. Government or commercial aerospace projects
- Proficiency with contract management tools and Microsoft Office; MS Project a plus
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Education and Certifications
- Bachelors degree in Business Supply Chain Engineering or related field
- Project Management or Contract Management certification preferred (e.g. PMP NCMA)

Compensation
The target compensation range for this position is $95K$125K depending on experience.
