A highly respected family-oriented construction company with a strong industry reputation is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take ownership of their complex multi-state multi-union payroll operations. This is an ideal opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with 3 years of union payroll experience—preferably in the construction sector—who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to modernize payroll processes for a 400 employee workforce.
What you will be doing:
Manage weekly payroll for 400 union employees across multiple states and unions
Interpret and apply union contracts to ensure accurate and compliant payroll processing
Oversee new hire onboarding time entry audits payroll reporting and W-2 distribution
Lead payroll tax filings ACA compliance and ensure federal/state/local payroll regulations are met
Serve as the go-to payroll expert and drive process improvements
Utilize Sage Timberline (or a similar system) to manage payroll operations
Experience you will need:
Minimum 3 years of payroll experience in a union environment
Proven experience handling multi-union and multi-state payroll
Strong knowledge of construction industry payroll practices is a major plus
Proficiency with Sage Timberline or similar payroll/ERP system
Advanced Excel skills and strong attention to detail
Ability to interpret union contracts and maintain payroll compliance
