Responsibilities
Assist with the operations of the tennis program as directed by the Head Coach including responsibilities related to teaching and coaching. Effectively recruit prospective studentathletes to attend the University of New England. Assist with planning and implementing instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of studentathletes while instilling values such as sportsmanship leadership and personal wellness. Function as a collaborative member of the department working toward common objectives and promoting a positive image of the University. Demonstrate high integrity and ethical behavior. Remain knowledgeable of and comply with all University policies NCAA Division III regulations and conference requirements. Demonstrate creativity initiative and a willingness to participate in departmental activities professional organizations and crosscampus collaborations (e.g. alumni relations intercultural affairs student affairs institutional advancement). Assist the Head Coach with administrative tasks including equipment and uniform inventory meal arrangements travel coordination and facility use scheduling. As a secondary administrative duty contest management responsibilities outside of primary playing season and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; previous collegiate coaching experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates comparable knowledge and skills. Willingness to work nights weekends and travel extensively as required. Previous experience in related field. Must possess a valid drivers license.
