Job Title: Athletic Specialist Golf Exemption Status: Exempt
Reports to: Director of Athletics Pay Grade: Clerical/Technical Pay Schedule Pay Grade 2

Primary Purpose:
Provide instruction to develop students skills and ability to excel in sport assigned. Contribute to education program as a whole and to growth of students involved in athletics.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required
Bachelors degree from accredited university preferred
Must be certified in CPR AED and first aid
Special Knowledge/Skills:
General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
Ability to instruct and supervise student athletics
Excellent organizational communication and interpersonal skills
Experience:
At least two years experience as an instructor or participant in sport assigned

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit; stand and move throughout the facilities. Duties also typically include considerable walking standing stooping bending and moderate lifting/transport of up to 50 lbs. Work performed outside (exposure to sun heat cold and inclement weather) and inside. Frequent district wide and statewide travel; Frequent prolonged and irregular hours.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Boards procedure on evaluation of personnel. The evaluation will be completed by the Director of Athletics
