- Making the content they teach engaging relevant and meaningful to students lives by aligning their instruction with the common core essential standards and 21stcentury content which includes: global awareness financial economic business entrepreneurial literacy civic literacy and health awareness.
- Teaching existing core content that is revised to include skills like critical thinking problemsolving and information and communications technology (ICT) literacy.
- Facilitating instruction using a variety of instructional methods that are appropriate for their students by integrating and utilizing technology.
- Using a variety of methods to assess what students have learned and to help them work in teams and develop leadership qualities.
- Working collaboratively with the families and significant adults in the lives of their students adapts their teaching for the benefit of students with special needs and embraces fairness in the school community and in the world.

- Serves as a team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring respect integrity responsibility high expectations being customerdriven and valuing fairness.
- Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be able to communicate orally and in writing with parents staff and community leaders.
- Must have finger dexterity and be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling sitting walking stooping reaching lifting pushing pulling talking seeing hearing and repetitive motion.
