Job Description
Cafeteria employees enable Church employees and temple patrons to focus on their most important work of bringing souls unto Jesus Christ by providing food services in a simple and affordable way.
This position exists to provide clean and sanitized dishes and cookware for the cafeteria and/or assist with other routine tasks.
Responsibilities
- Cleans and sanitizes dishes cookware or other kitchen supplies or facilities.
- Operates dishwasher or hand washes to clean dishes silverware glassware and pots and pans.
- May organize and distribute cleaned and dried items.
- May clean other areas in the cafeteria.
- May be assigned to another routine task.
- Appropriately disposes of trash including cooked or raw food items.
Refers complex issues to higherlevel staff.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be able to understand and follow directions in English.
- Able to work well with other team members.
- Able to lift/move objects up to 40lbs. Able to do fast repetitive motions and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to work in wet conditions and in varied temperatures.
- Courtesy when dealing with others. Ability to obtain food handlers permit.
