- Support life sciences teaching and research through handson technical assistance.
- Join a collaborative team focused on safety compliance and service excellence.
- Parttime (0.8 FTE) ongoing appointment.
- Base salary range: $74450 $79085 p.a. (prorata) plus 17% superannuation.
About the area
College Services delivers academic and technical support to UWAs schools enabling excellence in teaching and research. The Technical Services team supports a wide range of life sciences disciplines including gross anatomy physiology optometry and sports science. The team contributes to highquality learning outcomes through lab and fieldwork support equipment maintenance workshop design and promoting a strong culture of safety and compliance.
About the opportunity
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of teaching and research workshops and laboratories.
- Perform routine servicing of equipment and uphold compliance with safety protocols.
- Support academic staff and students in practical activities aligned with UWAs teaching and research goals.
About you
- Year 12 completion or equivalent competency with relevant technical support experience.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
- Confident using computer applications including spreadsheets email and databases.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively within a highperforming team.
Special Requirements
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the role.
- Some afterhours work may be required.
