Job Description
The Division
The Group Digital Capabilities (GDC) division ensures Euroclears competitiveness by deliveringreliable and sustainable IT solutions for the financial securities markets.
Our teams deliver new IT solutions and improve existing applications for both our internal and external clients and we ensure the applicative production support of those solution.
The Tribe
The StraightThroughProcessing tribe contributes to the division strategy by delivering and supporting costeffective timetomarket solutions for the domain of STP communication flows (transactional flows information flows reporting CRM).
We are looking for anApplication DevEngineerwho will join the BAMCOM Services (BCS) Squad. BAMCOM is the interface that allows both business and production support users to keep an eye on the correct processing of all communication messages handled by the StraightThroughProcessing engine
The Role
The Application DevEngineer is a key contributor to software development projects. The role requires team members to master a large set of application development competencies and the ability to leverage them all to swiftly deliver IT solutions to the business.
The Application Design Analyst collaborates with others within own team and together with other crossfunctional teams to define design and ship new features through:
- Gathering information performing analysis and eliciting solution needs in discussion with Users or Business Analysts (Refinement).
- Defining solutions based on requirements coming from Business/Business Analyst architecture/Solution Architect or Security and preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be coded.
- Participation to estimation process providing detailed budget and workload estimates for new application development activities.
- Writing clean scalable and efficient code for various platforms; troubleshooting and debugging applications to optimize performance
- Ensuring the required asset documentation is produced & maintained in compliance with the governance and the IT controls
- Conducting peer code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
- Validating the outcome of the coding and testing tasks working within a team.
- Programming and unit testing activities for complex and/or critical programs.
- Supporting the testing teams (problem analysis and bug fixing) during the testing phases of projects.
He/she supports application software running in production by fixing problems and making enhancements.
He/she stays updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and project outcomes.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role specifically .Net/.Net Core and API. Our application stack also in SQL Server Webapp ServiceFabrics.
- Capability to operate autonomously and without close supervision on design programming and maintenance activities good drive and ability to make things happen
- Capability to design changes in complex applications
- Capability to understand specific client needs or technical requirements in order to apply welldeveloped skills or knowledge
- Experience of working in Agile and Hybrid environment
- A constructive team player and problemsolver capable to remain positive in the face of challenge or under pressure
- At ease in a fastchanging environment flexible and able to reprioritise tasks
- Openness to learning new things
- Fluency in spoken and written English
