Job Description
A dynamic and rapidly growing litigation law firm with a national practice is seeking associate attorneys with 36 years of civil defense litigation experience to join its Healthcare and Professional Liability practice group based in West Hartford Connecticut.
The Healthcare and Professional Liability group is anchored by two of the states premier medical malpractice defense trial attorneys and focuses on defending clients in complex medical malpractice matters Department of Public Health investigations presuit claims and risk management matters.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend healthcare professionals and institutions in medical malpractice and professional liability cases.
Handle Department of Public Health investigations and presuit claims.
Contribute to case strategy and daytoday case management.
Draft and respond to written discovery.
Participate in fact and expert depositions court appearances and trial preparation.
Collaborate closely with litigation partners and communicate directly with clients.
Qualifications:
36 years of relevant civil defense litigation experience.
Strong working knowledge of Connecticut civil practice rules and procedures.
Excellent analytical organizational research and writing skills.
Demonstrated interest in medical malpractice defense and complex medical and scientific issues.
Ability to work effectively in a teamdriven environment and handle a busy caseload.
