About The Opportunity

As a Software Support Specialist you will be based out of our Johannesburg office. You will play a key support role for customers of our fleet management and mine production system Micromine Pitram. Being at the forefront of client interactions your work will solidify customer relationships and ensure their satisfaction.

Reporting to the Operations Manager your key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with Micromine Pitram implementations across the AMEE Region as well as globally when required.
  • Providing telephone email and facetoface support for licence holders.
  • Conducting training with clients and inhouse staff (inperson and online).
  • Ensuring enhancement requests bugs and development issues are raised and resolved.
  • BETA testing new versions and products to check improved functionality.
  • Supporting the Sales team during technical demonstrations trade shows and other events.

About You

You will have proven experience within software support environments in either help desk technical support or technical training positions.

Other key skills experience and qualifications:

  • A tertiary qualification in either Information Technology Mechatronics Mining Engineering Geology or a related discipline
  • You have a working knowledge of networking and database technologies (e.g. SQL Oracle).
  • You have experience conducting client trainings
  • You have strong customer relationship building skills and experience
  • The ability to travel nationally or internationally to manage Micromine Pitram implementations (estimated 2530% of the year)
  • Whilst not essential previous exposure to the Mining sector would be useful
