Job Summary
We re seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Onboarding Specialist to join our growing team. In this role you will guide sellers through the verification and listing process ensure the integrity of their listings and deliver an exceptional customer experience. You will work closely with sellers to finalize listings validate business data and proactively re-engage with sellers who have abandoned the process to maximize their success on the platform. Your work will directly impact sellers ability to achieve their goals making this a critical role within marketplace operations
Key Responsibilities
Review and verify listing descriptions ensuring they accurately represent the business.
Check URLs for functionality and confirm listings are categorized appropriately by business type (e.g. SaaS eCommerce Content).
Ensure pricing aligns with valuation policies and standards including profit multiples for specific business categories.
Verify seller-provided financial and operational data including revenue expenses and traffic metrics.
Cross-check data with integrated platforms such as Shopify Stripe PayPal and Google Analytics as well as supporting documents like screenshots or bank statements.
Ensure all data spans at least the trailing 12 months and verify seller or business identity to maintain platform integrity.
Proactively reach out to sellers via phone email text or video conferencing to clarify requirements and resolve questions.
Guide sellers through the onboarding process addressing concerns or objections with a solutions-oriented approach.
Develop strong relationships with sellers to build trust and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.
Implement consistent follow-up strategies including daily calls and bi-daily Deal Room messages to encourage sellers to finalize listings within a defined time frame.
Review and approve listings ensuring all requirements are met before they go live on the marketplace.
Notify sellers of their listing status and provide clear next steps for launch or revision.
Manage the final launch process using client s internal tools assigning brokered deals where necessary.
Proactively contact sellers who initiated but did not complete the listing process within 4 hours of abandonment.
Use persuasive communication and objection-handling techniques to address common concerns such as valuation dissatisfaction pricing objections or time constraints.
Leverage approved scripts templates and resources to guide sellers toward completion and activation of their listings.
Provide feedback to the team on potential improvements to the onboarding process based on seller interactions and challenges.
Collaborate with internal teams to refine templates outreach strategies and tools to improve efficiency and seller success.
Required Qualifications
Must have a proven track record as a SDR or a Retention specialist.
Proven experience in customer-facing roles with a focus on delivering exceptional service and addressing objections effectively.
Ability to critically review financial operational and traffic data for accuracy and compliance with platform standards.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and listings simultaneously while maintaining high accuracy and meeting deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with sellers and internal teams.
Solutions-oriented approach with a proactive attitude toward addressing challenges and driving results.
Familiarity with tools like HubSpot Slack Google Analytics and eCommerce platforms such as Shopify and PayPal.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced dynamic environment with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing needs.
