Job Summary

This position has the responsibility of supporting the mission of the hospital by providing care to those most in need and by providing an environment of highquality health care for all patients. This position plans implements and evaluates processes enacted through staff in collaboration with the Chief Nurse Officer; the goal of all action is to ensure a fiscally responsible organization with positive clinical outcomes. Must demonstrate the possession of knowledge and skills necessary to provide operational direction for designated areas of responsibility. Must demonstrate qualities of leadership accountability and responsibility. The Senior Director will be an approachable individual who will act as a mentor and resource for their team. This individual holds an active RN license and will be a seasoned leader that has administrative and clinical leadership experience.

Minimum Requirements

Experience 5 years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse 5 years in nursing management.

Education Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Special Skills Proficient in the English language verbal and written communication skills computer skills

Licensure Current Louisiana State license as RN and BLS certification

Responsibilities

operational oversight for entire division by being accessible via phone/pager 24 hours a day

division performance implements changes that increase efficiency and effectiveness of services delivered. Keeps administration informed of the hospital activities needs and problems in order to promote operational efficiency within the division.

trains orients and assigns departmental staff members in a manner that ensures efficient departmental operations and complies with relevant regulations governing the employment process. Monitors through oversight departmental staffing processes.
