Job Description

We are looking for a Hardware System Test Engineer to help the team develop and validate innovative solutions in physical retail technology for the new Amazon Dash Cart and other confidential projects. Our team is based in the Boston MetroWest area.

Key job responsibilities
The Hardware System Test Engineer performs many critical functions for the HW development team. These include conducting engineering tests and collecting data developing and fabricating fixtures for use in testing and also performing assembly and part rework to support production and prototype builds.

About the team
Our HardwareMEMFG team is a mix of different experience levels and backgrounds we all pride ourselves on being able to work on any challenge across the different system functions and incorporating different engineering disciplines. But we all also develop a specific subject matter expertise mutually agreed upon with in the team in order to grow our own (and the teams) breadth and depth.

*Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering (or similar field) or 4 years of experience in the consumer or industrial electronics industry as a test engineer
*Experience with design tools including Solidworks and/or ProE/Creo
*Exposure/Familiarity with engineering requirements and validation tracking and recordkeeping
*Exposure/Familiarity with component fabrication machine shop assembly
*A curious mind and a tenacity to deliver results and do great things!

*Some prior experience with delivering products into mass production
*Some experience in engaging & working with vendors and suppliers to deliver in fastpaced technical environment
*Analytical and methodological root cause analysis and troubleshooting skills including DOE and 8D
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and nontechnical leaders
