Job Description
Backend Developer
The Backend Developer plays a crucial role in the development and maintenance of the serverside components of our applications. This position is integral to the overall functioning and performance of our software products as it involves designing implementing and optimizing the backend infrastructure. A successful Backend Developer will work collaboratively with frontend developers and project managers to ensure that the application meets both technical and userdefined requirements. They are responsible for building efficient APIs managing database interactions and troubleshooting serverrelated issues. In an everevolving tech landscape this role demands a handson approach to coding and a commitment to best practices in software development.
Key Responsibilities
- Design develop and maintain serverside applications and services.
- Implement RESTful APIs for frontend and external integrations.
- Manage and interact with databases ensuring data integrity and optimization.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate userfacing elements.
- Optimize applications for speed and scalability.
- Develop and maintain automated tests and deployment pipelines.
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Participate in project planning and sprint meetings.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices in the application.
- Write and maintain clear documentation for backend systems.
- Contribute to system architecture design discussions.
- Monitor and improve application performance regularly.
- Assist in the technical training of junior developers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Proven experience as a Backend Developer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of programming languages such as Python Java or .
- Experience with database management systems like MySQL PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP APIs.
- Knowledge of server management cloud services and workload balancing.
- Understanding of unit and integration testing.
- Experience with version control systems especially Git.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with microservices and containerization is a plus.
- Knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML CSS JavaScript) is a plus.
- Continuous Learning mindset and ability to adapt to new technologies.
