Job Details
Job Title: Technical Illustrator
Location: Vadodara (Willing to relocate to Mysore)
Type of Hiring: Permanent with AMM India
Mode of Work: Onsite
Required:
- BE in Mechanical/Automobile
- 14 years’ experience in creation of technical illustration
- Must have hands on experience in illustration tools such as Isodraw Adobe Photoshop Creo View AutoCAD Windchill Adobe Illustrator
- Selfmotivated Strong Organizational Skills Learning Oriented
- Strong Product Knowledge and Company systems knowledge will be very helpful
Carries out preparatory work
- Accepts order with deadline specifications determines order content in terms of e.g. picture content visualization methods (perspective colour) degree of visualization. Coordinates with the technical coordinator and illustrator.
- Clarifies use of tools. Examines evaluates and processes the available data carries out research and obtains missing information.
- Arranges the available data in modular form in the design and illustration tools.
Creates technical illustrations
- Create technical illustrations according to the customer specific technical standards.
- Create revise and maintain illustrations for use in Engine spare parts catalogues assembly instructions tools catalogues guided troubleshooting operation manuals maintenance manuals etc. using Isodraw Photoshop Auto CAD
- Collects basic data from design and illustration tools (e.g. Creo and Auto CAD ) processes these to form new informative illustrations.
- Creates simple perspective views from manufacturing drawings.
- Adapts existing photos to achieve required visual statement.
- In the event of deviations from requirements adjusts illustrations in consultation with the technical author.
- Provide technical support within the Technical Publications Department
- Follow the quality check sheets and guidelines
- Report to the illustration coordinator
- Ensures the meeting of deadlines
Carries out followup work
- Archives updates and amends illustrations
