Job Summary:
The Infrastructure and Vendor Management Lead oversees the planning procurement implementation and maintenance of the organizations IT infrastructure. They are also responsible for managing relationships with external vendors and service providers. This role involves collaborating with a team of IT professionals to ensure the reliability of servers critical systems and support the organizations technology needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent leadership skills and a strategic mindset to drive continuous improvement in IT infrastructure. Negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met are also key aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure Management:
- Overseeing the procurement setup and maintenance of infrastructure.
- Ensuring the stability integrity and efficient operation of IT systems and infrastructure.
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues to ensure high availability and performance.
Planning and Budget Management:
- Collaborating with application teams to develop IT infrastructure plans aligned with organizational goals.
- Evaluating and recommending new technologies to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Developing and implementing costeffective strategies to manage IT infrastructure expenses within the allocated budget while maintaining highquality service delivery.
- Analyzing and determining the total cost of ownership (TCO) for all applications to guide strategic decisionmaking and optimize resource allocation.
Contract Negotiation and Management:
- Negotiating contracts and service level agreements (SLAs) with vendors to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
- Reviewing and managing existing contracts to ensure compliance with agreedupon terms and conditions.
- Working with legal and procurement teams to ensure contracts align with organizational policies and legal requirements. Acting as the primary point of contact for vendors facilitating communication and addressing any issues or concerns.
Vendor Selection and Onboarding:
- Participating in the selection and evaluation of new vendors to ensure they meet the organizations requirements and standards.
- Overseeing the onboarding process for new vendors ensuring a smooth transition and integration into the organizations operations.
Performance Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Monitoring vendor performance to ensure that services are delivered in accordance with SLAs and organizational expectations.
- Conducting regular performance reviews and assessments to evaluate vendor effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Developing and implementing performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure vendor performance.
