Job Description
The Hazardous Waste Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of 510 employees that collects and categorizes both hazardous and regulated medical waste for a scientific testing services company. The Team Leader will make work schedules for employees coach train and mentor employees and ensure the companys compliance with all applicable environmental regulations (including filing compliance reports when necessary). The Team Leader will be responsible for arranging waste pickups with external waste transportation companies assessing levels of waste production and leading efforts to reduce the production of hazardous and regulated medical waste.
To perform this job successfully the individual must be able to independently and collaboratively perform the following requirements:
- Package chemicals for shipment or disposal
- Maintain clean and orderly chemical storage areas
- Ship hazardous waste from the laboratory prior to RCRA time limits
- Track the volume of waste generated for reporting to corporate and the EPA
- Coordinate workflow and monitor employee activities daily
- Interview train and regularly evaluate employee performance
- Confront and address problems concerns and performance issues
- Coach and develop individuals and the team to maximize performance
Qualifications :

- Hazardous medical or regulated waste management experience
- Enjoy teaching coaching and mentoring
- Ability to work in the US without immediate or future sponsorship
Additional Information :
Position is fulltime working 8:00 AM4:00 PM MondayFriday some weekend required overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster PA are encouraged to apply.
