Position Summary:
As a Supervisor Manufacturing at LGC you will play a pivotal role in our mission to deliver worldclass cGMP oligonucleotide production. This position coordinates all aspects of the morning shift within the LGCAXOLabs Petaluma Therapeutic GMP suite this opening is for the Swing shift that operates Monday through Thursday from 12:30 pm to 11:00 pm. This is an outstanding opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic and ambitious environment while ensuring flawless operations and continuous improvement.
Essential Functions:
- Set goals and coordinate workflow to meet the departments production schedule.
- Train and review individual employee performance to provide feedback and support. Promote individual growth in oneonone meetings and periodic reviews.
- Respond and resolve problems related to employees instrumentation and deviation events. Coordinate with PD to make processcritical decisions in real time.
- Keep an eye on important metrics and make changes to foster continuous improvement within the team. Manage employee timecards PTO and promotions.
- Routinely train the team on manufacturing processes and instrumentation (synthesis purification desalt freeze drying etc).
- Collaborate with other supervisors to align standard methodologies and expectations between multiple shifts.
- Maintain a safe and orderly laboratory environment through regular cleanings and organization in alignment with internal cGMP SOPs.

- Excellent communication is a must to communicate complex instruction feedback to multiple parties.
- Critical evaluation for potential risk factors.
- Cooperative and teamoriented.
- Proficient with MS Office.
Working Conditions:
- Work environment Primarily in an office with regular work in a manufacturing cleanroom.
- Extreme Conditions In Lab noise level is regularly moderate and unpleasant odors are occasional.
- Protective Clothing Required Lab coats neoprene gloves hairnets surgical masks gas masks. Additional PPE may be required depending on the process performed.
- Potential injuries or illnesses Chemical exposure is a risk when operating in a lab environment. Physical injury related to moving equipment is a risk for ergonomic injury as well as accidents.
- Handling of hazardous waste Employees receive initial hazardous waste management training when hired to a position that requires managing hazardous waste. Annual refresher training is provided every year they remain in that position.
- Work environment involves exposure to hazards or physical risks which require following safety precautions and specific personnel training for employees working with hazardous materials and hazardous waste.
Qualifications :
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S. in a relevant STEM field and 2 years of cGMP lab experience.
- 4 years of cGMP lab experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- B.S. in a relevant STEM field and 2 or more years in a leadership role in large scale cGMP production.
Competencies & Behaviours:
- Calm professional presence in pressured situations.
- Proficient writing
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must have full mobility (push pull lift grip crouch stand bend walk etc).
- Must be able to wear a fullface respirator.
- Must comply with company PPE requirements (I.e. wear water proof boots lab coats gloves neoprene nitrile or latex hairnets seal forming goggles).

The typical pay range for this role is:
Minimum: $69000
Maximum: $115000
This range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for the California based position. The actual base salary will depend on several factors such as: experience skills and location.
