Electrical BIM Coordinator is responsible for the development coordination and management of electrical BIM models and documentation. The role ensures accurate design integration clashfree coordination with other trades and compliance with project standards and BIM execution plans. The coordinator works closely with design BIM and site teams to support project delivery from design through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce coordinated electrical shop drawings cable tray routing lighting layouts and device placement.
Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) project specifications and applicable standards.
Support project teams by providing technical input on electrical systems and modelrelated issues.
Maintain and update electrical BIM content libraries and project templates.
Participate in coordination and design review meetings; track and resolve coordination issues.
Ensure integration of design changes and updates into the BIM model and documentation sets.
Collaborate with site teams to ensure constructability and field accuracy of electrical systems.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in BIM coordination with a focus on electrical systems.
Proficiency in Revit MEP Navisworks Manage AutoCAD and BIM 360 or similar CDE platforms.
Strong understanding of LV/MV electrical systems lighting power distribution and ELV systems.
Familiarity with international electrical standards such as IEC NEC or BS7671.
Experience in multidisciplinary coordination and modelbased collaboration.
Excellent communication problemsolving and documentation skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team under tight project deadlines.
Autodesk Certified Professional in Revit MEP or equivalent.
Experience on largescale infrastructure commercial or industrial projects.
Knowledge of ISO 19650 COBie and datarich model workflows.
