Certified Medical Assistant
Memorial Plastic Surgery is seeking a fulltime Certified Medical Assistant who has a friendly personality professional appearance and strong communication skills for our office located in Houston TX.
Compensation based on experience and skills.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide pre & postoperative care prescriptions imaging tests and surgical orders.
- Document medical history and maintain accurate clinical notes
- Scan fax and/or copy medical records into EMR system or to the designated location.
- Prepare patient rooms room patients take before & after photos.
- Stock exam rooms maintain inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Assist in minor inoffice procedures clean and sterilize instruments
- Assist front office with answering phones emails and providing patients information regarding plastic surgery procedures of interest.
- Hold a high level of professionalism when interacting with clients patients and staff members.
- Practice patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA guidelines and company policies.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.

Job Qualifications
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a Medical Office setting as a Medical Assistant required; Experience working in a Cosmetic/Plastic/Reconstructive Surgery office strongly preferred.
- Education: High School diploma required; Associates degree or higher strongly preferred.
- License/Certification: Certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization (AAMA AMT ARMA NCCT NAHP NHA NAHP AMCA or NRMA) required.
Skills:
- Patient liaison with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail highly organized and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
- Bilingual in both English & Spanish highly preferred.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Medical assisting: 2 years (Required)
- Plastic surgery: 1 year (Preferred)
Language:
- Spanish (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
Ability to Commute:
- Houston TX 77024 (Required)
