Position Overview:

• Must have at least 4 years experience servicing access control systems intrusion detection and CCTVs.
• This role will be embedded at a client site in Austin TX and will be required to be onsite MF.
• Responsible for servicing and troubleshooting access control IPbased and analog video management systems autogate equipment.
• Scope of duties include but are not limited to:
  • Troubleshooting and repair of electrified and nonelectrified locks card readers ancillary accesscontrolled door devices IP and analog cameras headend video recording devices wired and wireless networks and intercom systems.
• This person will need to be detail orientated and able to document and communicate all repairs as well as effectively communicate with customers.

Work Hours:

Standard workdays and times are Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The following are tasks that the position is responsible for but not limited to:

• Troubleshooting and servicing integrated security systems.
• Trouble shooting of cabling card readers door contacts mag locks electrified strikes cameras PLC intrusion and integrated systems.
• Functional understanding of low voltage systems relays principals of normally closed/normally open series and parallel wiring.
• General understanding of Network Topology.
• Use a multimeter to test for voltage continuity and resistance.
• Possess mechanical and computer skill and ability to effectively troubleshoot.
• Operate any hand tools and equipment necessary to perform all associated tasks.
• Document and update works orders and customers in a timely manner.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• High School Graduate GED or equivalent.
• Must have 5 or more years in relevant access control service troubleshooting and configuration.

  • Mercury
  • Galaxy
  • CCTV
  • Milestone
  • American Dynamics

• Currently licensed or must have the ability to immediately obtain TXDPS Security License.
