You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThis is a hybrid role (inoffice approx. 3 days per week). The preferred location for this role is Washington DC at our 1812 N. Moore Arlington VA office. Other locations that will be considered are Louisville KY Chicago IL and Nashville TN.
As Director Corporate Strategy you will provide strategic guidance and thought leadership to our most senior leaders through development of enterprisewide strategic plans and objectives. In addition you will lead a wide variety of crossfunctional strategy projects related to Enterprise growth priorities provide strategic support for M&A processes and external partnership opportunities and present progress and recommendations to Humanas senior leadership and Board. Daytoday activities will include overseeing a team of associates to prepare industry analysis high level financial modeling and qualitative analysis and synthesis of strategic options to create executivelevel deliverables and recommendations for Humanas senior leaders and Board.
Key responsibilities include:
The successful candidate will be a dynamic leader who has worked in strategy at a top tier strategy consulting firm or in a large corporation. He/she will have a demonstrated ability to influence peers and business leaders. This person must be comfortable with ambiguity and able to work collaboratively with key leaders to shape the priorities and agenda for the Corporate Strategy group.
He/she also will be effective at multitasking and possess keen change management skills. Additional skills and competencies include:
Required Qualifications:
MBA MHA MD or other relevant professional degrees
35 years post MBA consulting or corporate strategy experience
Proven experience developing boardready material and planning for strategic annual meetings for executives and Board of Directors
Proven experience setting priorities and defining the future direction of a company (i.e. competitive analysis strategy road map strategic investment prioritization)
Strong business acumen and analytical skills with proven ability to apply foundational strategy principles to a variety of business problems
Proven experience working directly with and presenting to Executive level management
Passion for people development and demonstrated leadership success (both internally and externally)
Ability to identify structure and solve business problems
Excellent interpersonal organizational written and oral communication and presentation skills with proven experience writing and delivering presentations to members of the management team and CEO.
Demonstrated ability to interact with senior leadership internally and externally
Preferred Qualifications:
Leadership experience at toptier strategy consulting firm or Fortune 500 corporate strategy team
Experience working in healthcare industry preferably payer or provider space

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
