Job Description

OVERVIEW

Vertex is currently accepting applications for a GIS Analyst in Alberta.

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
  • Postsecondary education or university degree in or related to GIS.
  • Up to 3 years of experience creating maps in ESRI ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
  • Experience with ArcGIS Collector app and Survey 123 or Field Maps
  • Experience in environmental consulting providing high quality figures and geospatial data sets
  • Geomatics support to a range of project types and sectors
  • Proficiency with MS Office
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare digital maps figures geospatial and tabular data sets process spatial data sets from sources such as GPS field observations environmental monitoring satellite images and LiDAR.
  • Collaborate with geomatics team and environmental scientists to ensure highquality results.
  • Demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Maintain company standards and procedures under the direction of the Geomatics Team Lead adhere to all company standards procedures and QA/QC processes associated with geospatial data management templates and client specific presentation standards.
  • Other duties as directed by your direct supervisor or manager.
LOCATION
  • This position will be based out of our Blackfoot Trail Office in Calgary AB
