Overview:
Chewy Pharmacy Fulfillment Network is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Director of Pharmacy Operations to lead and scale our retail and wholesale pharmacy services with a strong emphasis on personalized patient care and prescription accuracy. This critical role oversees multisite dispensing activities regulatory compliance and pharmacyrelated services across Retail Wholesale and Shared Services operations.
The ideal candidate is a resultsdriven leader who thrives in a fastpaced ambiguous environment. They excel at fostering engaged teams driving operational improvements and enhancing the customer experience through datainformed decisionmaking and continuous improvement. This role balances shortterm operational execution with longterm strategic initiatives ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee performance and operations of a nationwide pharmacy fulfillment network including retail wholesale and shared services.
- Collaborate crossfunctionally with Compliance Legal Engineering and Business Leadership to manage regulatory risk maintain licensure and uphold thirdparty accreditations.
- Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing system enhancements that improve efficiency quality and customer satisfaction.
- Lead a team of exempt leaders pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to promote innovation and high standards in patient care.
- Foster a feedbackrich adaptive team culture aligned with continuous improvement and evolving business needs.
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) in safety quality order fulfillment and employee engagement.
- Design and implement robust training and onboarding programs for pharmacy staff.
- Stay informed of industry trends and integrate best practices to maintain a worldclass quality mindset.
- Support strategic growth through volume expansion and product catalog development in partnership with business stakeholders.
- Contribute to initiatives that improve both the customer and employee experience.
Job Requirements:
- Active pharmacist license in good standing in at least one state with ability to obtain additional licensures.
- 10 years of progressive leadership experience in pharmaceutical dispensing with expertise across key pharmacy domains.
- Proven ability to build scale and execute new initiatives with crossfunctional teams.
- Strong operational acumen with a track record of implementing scalable solutions in highgrowth environments.
- Datadriven problemsolving and decisionmaking abilities.
- Excellent communication and escalation skills across leadership levels.
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently while adapting to frequent change.
- Deep commitment to customer service and delivering strategic business impact.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma certification (e.g. Green Belt) or equivalent process improvement credentials.
- Experience managing ecommerce multisite pharmacy fulfillment or distribution operations.
